Spiritual author, Michael Love, "Why I share my experience."

The original story has been modified for this publication edition.

Leading people into a space where they experience their excellence—their value—is something Mike Love takes seriously. He believes each of us has a divine heritage and should know, “You are more,” more than you think you are, more than you know, more than you can dream. He’s published a book with SPARK Publications called The Reality of Your Greatness: A Personal Journey Through the Twelve Rays.

Your spiritual journey began with Phoenix Rising. What was Phoenix Rising?

It was a wellness center with alternative methods of healing. Wellness in my context means body/mind/spirit… meaning that when you look at someone and see what they are experiencing, you consider that the symptoms have characteristics beyond the physical. There are elements of spiritual/emotional/mental.

We had workshops, classes, and seminars on all types of topics. We had 2,000 books, healing products, and herbal products. We also had crystals and music.

Sometimes we do things and we don’t know why we do them. We’re just convinced it’s the right thing to do. The purpose of Phoenix Rising was a beacon to attract someone. And that someone is my partner now. I didn’t know that at the time, but now I know. I just kept following the path laid before me and trusting my instinct in that this was an important step in my journey.

So, I take it Phoenix Rising is no longer around…

No. Sometimes we have to say “no” to one thing to get to the bigger “yes.” Some things are temporary. You don’t get to walk through one door until you close another one. And my new partner brought The Team. Meeting them was my bigger “yes.”

Who is The Team?

The Team is our support group. The group who promised to guide us in our mission in this lifetime.

What is your mission?

It’s two-fold: I have a personal mission and a bigger picture mission. The bigger picture mission is about remembering certain truths and giving people the opportunity to remember them also.

And what is that truth?

That you are more than you think you are.

What does that mean?

It means we have limited beliefs about who and what we think we are.

Do you have limiting beliefs about who you are?

Of course! We’re raised in a culture, society, time-period. We’re raised in a context of societal roles. Those are limiting but also purposeful. We have to have roles. People need to know what to expect from you. What they are going to get from you based upon your roles and beliefs you have embraced.

The issue is: do you have to go through a lifetime with those same limited beliefs? It’s perfectly alright if you do. No judgement. But, you don’t have to go through life with these limited beliefs with which you started.

How do you help people disengage from these limiting beliefs?

Limiting beliefs creates repetitive patterns. And repetitive patterns limit the type of experiences you can have.

For example, if you believe the world is a dangerous place, that is a limiting place. Then, you are going to be constantly vigilant to not put yourself in a position of jeopardy. You are not going to jump out of airplanes anytime soon.

There is nothing wrong with this. The issue comes into play when a person wants to jump out of an airplane and can’t figure out why they can’t.

Someone comes to you because they don’t know how to move forward and they are wondering “What’s blocking me from moving forward?” Generally, it’s a habitual pattern that comes from a limiting belief.

A predominant limiting belief is, “I’m broken and need to be fixed.”

One of things I like to say is, “You are not broken and don’t need to be fixed. When you have gotten everything you need to learn in this space, then you can move.”

Do you think people respond to that message?

I think people have been told they are broken and are looking for a way to fix themselves. There are some very off-putting things in religious practices today. I think people really appreciate when you say, “You aren’t broken.” They want to hear they are worthy.

The biggest cause of disease is what people believe – their own beliefs in their heads. Our planet’s pollution is nothing like what’s in between our ears. Clean up the pollution in your head first. Then, tackle the rest!

Thoughts are things… we are the creator of our own reality. Nothing in our life comes into us until it’s a thought. If you have a negative thought, you will create a negative reality.

How do you clean up negative thoughts?

You tell someone they are more! You were created by something we call god. You have divine heritage. You weren’t created broken. You were created to carry on the process of creation through every choice you make.

To break out of negative thinking, you break the pattern. You begin a pattern of success. You show people how to be successful; help them see all the successes that they don’t count as successes. I ask questions like:

  • Did you get out of bed morning?

  • Did you get to work on time?

  • Did you do all the things they told you do?

  • Then, let’s look these as areas of success!

We don’t count all of our successes because we focus on the one thing we don’t have. We extrapolate one thing we can’t do and project that on the total.

So, what tools do you offer to help them break the pattern?

The truth. I help people look at their truth; to focus on successes. Once I get them to start recognizing their assets, then I can get them to start looking at life as more. There are things that we don’t dream we are capable of… One of things I do is get them to use their imagination. For instance, if you had a blank canvas, what would you paint on it?

So many living in the negative don’t know what to paint. I encourage them to think outside of their own box. The sandbox is where they are most comfortable. We all play in our own sandbox but aspire to play in a bigger sandbox. To get to the bigger sandbox we have to expand what we believe about ourselves and the universe. This is where the 12 Rays come into play.

So, you’ve written a book about the 12 Rays called The Reality of Your Greatness. Why did you write that book?

I’m trying to offer a spiritual metaphor for the 21st century.

What was the process of writing this book like for you?

Remember when you asked me about my personal mission?

Sharing my personal mission is like sharing a secret.

When you have a secret and you feel vulnerable in sharing that secret, you have to summon your courage. In my vulnerability I kept hearing, “You’re just a crackpot. You listen to these voices that we all know aren’t real.”

I share this because I know many people reading this will have similar experiences in their personal journeys. As we move toward our greatness, we will also have to summon our courage.

Back to your question… The Team told me to write the book; the incentive came from the team. We actually wrote a first book. The Reality of Your Greatness is our second book and I’m much more comfortable with it. I worked with SPARK Publications to create it.

How does working with SPARK Publications come into play with your second book and why you published it for the masses? What is different about this book?

I had been teaching this class in different facilities. I knew they were helping people. There were tangible benefits people were getting from working with the rays. I knew the way to reach the masses was to write a book. I wrote it. And a promptly put in on a shelf.

In the fall of 2017, I was part of a business development group. One of the members was an astrologer who wanted to know more about the rays. I said I’ve written a manuscript. She read it in a day. She gave it to another friend who read it in two days.

They ran an intervention and said to publish it. I said to myself, who do I know that’s a publisher? Fabi Preslar! [President of SPARK Publications]

What was it like to put your book out there?

I told her the intervention story. For me, having support was the incentive I needed to move forward with it. I knew it wasn’t ego based. There was a need.

So, where can our readers find the book?

On Amazon – print and eBook or visit the website.

So, what’s next for you?

I’m always developing new channels of communication to help get out the message including webinars, live seminars, and online classes. People of CLT readers can find more information and stay in touch through my website.
